Build Products That Matter

Join a close-knit San Diego manufacturing team building electronics for defense and aerospace, medical devices, and industrial systems: work that carries accountability, precision, and purpose.

Why Work Here

A Skilled Team, Not a Production Line

At 56,000 sq. ft. in Carlsbad, our San Diego plant runs three SMT lines, a dedicated rapid-prototype unit, and certified defense and medical manufacturing operations. Every role touches quality that is regulated, audited, and mission-critical.

Technical Depth

SMT, microBGA, RF, wave soldering, and box build, with in-house AOI, ICT, and environmental testing to support the work.

Quality & Compliance

Our San Diego site holds AS9100, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001 certifications, along with ITAR and FDA registrations. Each has a distinct scope and purpose.

One Team

A single program team per customer, and a plant small enough that your name and your work are known.

San Diego, CA

Based in Carlsbad in the San Diego metro, a global hub for defense, life sciences, and wireless technology.

Group Backing

Stability and supply-chain depth from the KINPO GROUP, described by KINPO as a leading EMS provider in Southeast Asia and among the top 10 globally (QYResearch 2023 basis).

Equal Opportunity

Cal-Comp USA (San Diego) is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V.

Internship Program

Learn How Global Manufacturing Works

Cal-Comp San Diego has launched a permanent internship program with local technical colleges and universities, including the University of California, San Diego. The program gives students structured, hands-on experience in global manufacturing and supply chain management within a working operation.

Interns follow the work from components arriving from suppliers around the world to production and testing, then see how logistics networks move finished goods across continents. They connect what they learn in the classroom with the decisions people make every day on the factory floor. They also learn how decisions made in San Diego affect product availability, costs, and employment elsewhere in the world. That broader view helps students understand the industry and the careers they could build within it.

Our approach is to start early. Giving students practical experience helps them develop an interest in manufacturing, while building relationships that can lead to future recruitment. We are investing in those relationships because today's interns can become tomorrow's industry leaders. We want their journey to begin here.
